The present continuous
Use am, is or are with the -ing form. It covers three things: what is happening at this moment, a temporary situation around now, and a future arrangement that is already fixed.
Examples
Right now she is recording a short video for her friends.
This term we are spending less time on our phones.
The club is meeting next Monday to plan the podcast.
The mistake to avoid
Do not drop the verb be. Say 'She is learning', never 'She learning'. And do not use the present continuous for a permanent fact: say 'Water boils at 100 degrees'.
Speaking: Your screen time and how you balance it
Think about it on your own: How many hours a day are you on a screen, and what do those hours actually go on? Then ask a partner: - How much screen time do you have on a normal day? - What do you use your phone for most, and why? - What is one rule you would give a younger pupil about screens?
